“Environmental advocates are pushing state leaders to accept a new federal standards for methane emissions. The Biden administration issued the final standards at last month’s climate conference to dramatically reduce methane leaks to near 0 by 2030. Today, the Railroad Commission, which regulates oil and gas, voted to ask the state attorney general to sue the EPA to block those regulations from going into effect.
