At the March 25th Open Meeting of the Railroad Commission of Texas, Commission Shift Executive Director Virginia Palacios delivered public comments about the agency’s Monitoring and Enforcement Plan for Fiscal Year 2027, the importance of listening to public input on the plan, and Commission Shift’s recommendation related to flaring in particular.
Landowner Schuyler Wight also delivered public comments about the insufficient job he believes the RRC has done in stopping a well from leaking oil and gas waste despite his repeated attempts to communicate with the agency.
