Julie Range Testimony to the Railroad Commission, April 2025Testimonies | May 02, 2025

At the April 29th Open Meeting of the Railroad Commission of Texas, Julie Range, policy manager of Commission Shift, discussed the commission’s Monitoring & Enforcement Plan and our organization’s recommendations for changes and additions to the plan for FY 2026.

Before each Railroad Commission open meeting, commissioners read a preamble asking that persons offering public comment “conduct themselves with dignity, courtesy, and respect.” We expect the same behavior of commissioners, and do not condone a sitting railroad commissioner’s disrespect towards members of the public or Commission Shift staff. We stand with Julie and every Texan who takes the time and resources to address Commissioners and participate in what should be a respectful public forum.
