Katlynn is a senior journalism student at the University of Texas at Austin and is based primarily in Austin. She has previously written for Realtor.com and served as internal communications support for Optum Global Advantage. Her interest in legislation and public policy comes from working on HB-422 for the 2021 legislative session — a bill to protect student press freedom rights for K-12 and undergraduate students.
In her free time, she enjoys reading nonfiction, making pottery, doing heated yoga, cooking gluten-free foods, and playing with her dog.
