A native Laredoan, Wei Chi Liang graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Her academic journey delved into the historical role of art in representing various communities, especially marginalized ones, sparking her passion for amplifying the voices of those often unheard. Post-graduation, she embarked on a career with a digital fundraising company, collaborating with diverse nonprofit organizations to assist with marketing efforts to aid communities in need.
Driven by her commitment to nonprofit work, Wei Chi transitioned to Commission Shift, where she now serves as the Executive Assistant to Virginia Palacios, the Executive Director. She takes pride in her role within an organization dedicated to enhancing accessibility to vital resources for the people and environment of Texas.
In her personal life, Wei Chi finds joy in cooking, creating art and poetry, playing video games, and spending time with her loved ones.
